About the children

Ben, aged 19 months, was born prematurely. He has a heart condition, causing some delays in his development.

Ben has light brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. He has an engaging smile and brings joy to those around him.  He loves the outdoors and equally enjoys being at home playing with his toys, having books read to him and listening to musical sounds.  

Ben lived with foster carers after he left hospital when he was a few weeks old and benefited from the stability and security, they gave him.  Ben thrived in his foster home. However his future medical needs are not yet known. 

Ben’s parents have learning disabilities and extended family have hereditary medical needs, which carry a risk of genetic links. Ben needed an adoptive family who wouldn't be daunted by medical and developmental uncertainty and could provide him with continued love and security and accept all his uncertainties as he grows up.
